MINUTES

Members Present: Chairman Jeff Engelmann; Supervisor 1 Vicky Mueller; Supervisor 2 Brandon Taylor; Supervisor 3 Matthew Jicha; Supervisor 4 Dennis Taylor; Clerk Cheryl Stumbris, Treasurer Hope Wesolowski

Others Present: Bob Wesolowski; Jack Pociask; Mitch Scray; Thailer Collier; Peggy Miller; Mark Winters; Greg & Brenda Warrington; Jon Przewozny; Brian & Mary Hoffmann

Chairman Jeff Engelmann called the meeting to order at 7 P.M.

Motion to Approve agenda was made by Supervisor Dennis Taylor;

Seconded by Supervisor Vicky Mueller; Motion Carried.

Motion to Approve Minutes as read was made by Supervisor Matt Jicha; Seconded by Supervisor Brandon Taylor; Motion Carried.

Financial Report

BOH as of 7/31/2024

Checking $1,381.26

MM General Account $ 674,509.06

Motion to Approve financial report was made by Supervisor Matt Jicha; Seconded by Supervisor Dennis Taylor; Motion Carried

Vouchers were reviewed by all board members and approved.

In audience comments Mark Winters spoke to the board in regards to making Operation time changes to current ATV Ordinance. Board of Supervisors will review at Sept.10, 2024 meeting.

Peggy Miller, new Marinette County Judge as of August 1st

introduced herself. Peggy previously served as Family Court Commissioner Court Commissioner Register in probate. This experience is be very beneficial as far as transitional time with doing her job as Judge. To keep her place on the bench she will run In April 2025 . Please consider her for your vote.

Supervisor Dennis Taylor made a motion to grant variance to Jon Malgorzata to be within 10 ft of property line for garage reconstruction. Seconded by Supervisor Matt Jicha. Motion carried.

Supervisor Dennis Taylor made a motion to grant variance for Mobile home to Thailer Collier with the approval of home by Supervisor Matt Jicha. Seconded by Supervisor Vicky Mueller. Motion carried.

Board of Supervisors discussed signage at Lubka Rd & Pike River Rd. At this time no signs will be placed

After Board of Review Chairman Engelmann stated that the Town of Wausaukee is running at 70% appraised value. This is 2nd year and we have 5 years before we have to make decision as when to change property values. Supervisor Dennis Taylor commented” Property Values will go up, but assessments will come down.”

Tree Removal on Town Roads will cost approximately $250.00 an hour. Some concerns are private property / right away on roads and Property owner. Chairman Engelmann will check State Statutes and bring to next meeting.

Fire District 2nd Quarter report was viewed with no comments. Fire Department is actively looking at purchasing a pumper truck. Ordering truck and receiving truck would be 36 months. Cost would be about $500,000.00.

Supervisor Vicky Mueller gave update on WTA 2023-24 Legislative Priorities. Transportation, Public Safety, Levy Limits, Grant applications. PILT payments, Paperwork and Elections to name a few; also, Emergency Management is being highly encouraged for all Municipalities to have.

Supervisor Dennis Taylor made a motion to pay Vicky for time spent on training. Seconded by Supervisor Brandon Taylor. Motion carried

Clerk distributed “OPEN HOUSE MEDIA RELEASE” to Board Members.

Jack Pociask will sub for Recycling Attendant

Supervisor Dennis Taylor made a motion to adjourn at 6:59 pm. Seconded by Supervisor Brandon Taylor. Motion approved.
