Garbage Info

Great American Disposal provides curbside garbage pickup for Town of Wausaukee Residents.

Summer schedule is every other week; East side / West Side on Thursday starting the week after Memorial Day continuing through 1st week after Labor Day.

Winter Schedule is every other other week East side / West Side starting week after Labor day continuing through to Memorial Day.

Please have garbage visable at curbside by 6:00 AM.

GAD will only take household garbage.

All garbage must be bagged / 30# weight limit per bag / 1 Bag per day ( Rule of Thumb)

All other garbage must be taken to Mar Oco landfill in Town of Stephenson.

No Building Materials

If Garbage pickup falls during a holiday week ie Mon; Tues; Wed; or Thurs. pickup will be on Friday of that week.

 Recycling Info

Place all recyclable items together in your Single Stream Container.

ITEMS MUST BE LOOSE!

Newspapers, Magazines, Cardboard, Card Stock, Office Paper, Books-hardcover (covers removed), Envelopes, Cereal & Food and Beverages Boxes, Computer Printouts, File Folders, Glued Pads, Tablets, Phone Books, Post-it Notes, Milk & Juice Cartons, Wrapping Paper (no foil or ribbon), Junk Mail, Shredded Paper (must be in paper bag & stapled close), Empty Paper Towel & Toilet Paper Rolls.

Break Down all Large Items to Maximize Space.

Bathroom Waste Paper, Carbon Paper, Cellophane, Cloth, Cork, Foil, Waxed anything, Candy Wrappers, Napkins, Photographs, Fiberboard, Labels and Label Backings. 


Attention:
Wisconsin Adm. Codes NR 502.06 requires licensed waste haulers to notify clients yearly that State and Local laws require everyone in Wisconsin to recycle newspaper, magazines, cardboard, food and beverage containers, tires, yard waste, appliances, motor oil, lead acid batteries and office paper. 

Town of Wausaukee Recycling Center is open on the First and Third Wednesday and Saturday of the Month, 10 am to 2 pm, and is located at N11856 US Highway 141 (same location as Wausaukee Town Hall).
